JAYNE CONQUEST
The next meeting of Buxton Gardeners will be on Monday 12th May at 7:30 p.m. at Burbage Institute. Meetings are free to members, £4 for visitors.
Compost is a hot topic now with concerns about the use of peat and how to manage this wherever and however we garden. Whether you are a compost devotee, or would like to compost but are not sure how to or if you prefer to buy in compost our Speaker, Jayne Conquest will help us on our way.
Jayne is a Plantswoman with a cottage style half acre garden she opens as part of the National Garden Scheme. As a retired horticultural lecturer, she has prepared students for RHS qualifications. Her presentation will focus how we can best recycle green (nitrogen) and brown (carbon) waste from our gardens to make both compost and leaf mould; both can be used successfully to improve the health and structure of our garden soils.
Jayne will be bringing plants along for sale, all of which have been propagated in her own garden.
We hope that you will be able to join us.
