Thank you to everyone who came to Kims Garden Visit for our July 2024 event. The weather certainly was on our side and a lovely evening was had by all. Just to remind our loyal members and wonderful guests, there will be no meeting in August. Enjoy what is left of summer and we will see you all again in September, until then …. HAPPY GARDENING FOLKS
The next meeting of Buxton Gardeners will be on Monday 8TH July at 6:30. Kim Booth is opening her garden to Buxton Gardeners Members and Visitors. Kim’s cottage style garden has pergolas, fish and wildlife ponds and a beautiful flower lined path leading to a summerhouse.
Many of you will have attended Kim’s talk on propagation; this is our chance to see what she has achieved with her expertise. You will be able to see how the rose that Kim demonstrated the air layering technique on a has rooted. Kim recently opened her garden for the Buxton Garden Trail with visitors describing her garden as one of the best gardens they have seen.
Location: Havenholme, Brierlow Rd, Harpur Hill; SK17 9PT. This the end house next to the Rugby Club. Parking: Roadside parking is available.
Entry: Free to members and visitors; there will be refreshments available in the summerhouse. If you would like to make a contribution to Buxton Gardeners as well as to cover basic costs of the refreshments, a donation box will be available.
We hope that you will be able to join us; if you are we would be grateful if you could let us know by Thursday 4 July. If you have already signed up and intend to come you do not need to confirm. If you are able to offer or require transport to Havenholme we meet on Park Rd adjacent to The Portland Hotel.
